The Franklin Panthers girls’ lacrosse team has named their captains for the 2026 season after a successful 2025 campaign led by all-star contributions. Franklin was well represented in the Hockomock All-Star team, with Clara Blongastainer, Julia Flynn, Izzy Cross, Sophia Sacchetti, and Maeve Grasso all making the list, and Gabi Consigli being an honorable mention. Because of their star-studded roster, Franklin made it all the way to the Round of 16 after a dominant victory over Weymouth, before falling to a tough Andover squad. Many of these All-Stars have graduated and will leave Franklin’s program next season, opening up spots for new players to shine. Franklin named their 2026 captains with Izzy Cross returning, and the rest of the list consisting of Juliana Owen, Erin Peterson, and Vera Hansen. Franklin will need these girls to step up with all the departing leaders for Franklin, and look for these newly appointed captains to lead the Panthers to another deep playoff run. Look out for these new captains next season, where they too will aim for all-star bids and an even farther playoff run.
