Franklin Legion Faces Natick, Looking For Five Straight

Franklin Legion baseball is facing off against Natick tonight in Franklin’s quest for five straight victories. Franklin is coming off the heels of a huge win over North Attleboro Monday Night. North Attleboro is the class of their division as the No. 1 seed, and were coming off three straight wins and an electric 16-3 win over Norton. Franklin shut the doors on them off the backs of pitchers Lukas Philip and Zachary Winer, who combined for seven innings, four hits, zero earned runs, and five strikeouts. In addition to this pitching clinic, Franklin’s offense did enough to get the win, with Jack Sullivan notably getting two hits and a double. After this upset, Franklin moved into the sixth seed and looked to move into the top five with a win over Natick. Franklin will now face off against No. 13-seeded Braintree, who have yet to capture a win on the season. This game will offer Franklin an excellent opportunity to continue moving up the rankings to better position themselves for playoff baseball better.
