Former Franklin Panther Austin Campbell has quickly made his mark with the Worcester Bravehearts, adding another chapter to an already impressive baseball career. Known for his poise and command from the left side, Campbell has emerged as a reliable arm for a franchise that just put together one of the best regular seasons in Futures Collegiate Baseball League history.

In his most recent outing against the New Britain Bees on Saturday night, Campbell tossed two scoreless innings, scattering two hits, striking out two, and keeping the Bees off the board. That effort helped Worcester secure its 45th win of the season, a total that set a new all-time FCBL record. While his appearances this summer have been limited, just 5.2 innings pitched, the results have been flawless: six strikeouts, zero earned runs, and a perfect 0.00 ERA.

Campbell has had to compete for innings on a talented Bravehearts pitching staff, but every chance he’s gotten has been a showcase of efficiency. Though he didn’t pitch in the playoffs, the lefty is expected to be ready when called upon next season. Whether in Worcester or beyond, Campbell’s combination of control, composure, and competitive spirit continues to make Franklin proud.
