The Whitinsville Christian Crusaders girls’ cross country team captured the D2C championships in commanding fashion, paced by a sensational performance from the Flagg sisters.

Emily Flagg won the individual title with an 18:30.73 clocking, while sister Abby finished second in 18:54.43, a remarkable one-two finish that underscored Whitinsville Christian’s depth. This marks Emily’s third straight state title, cementing her place among the program and regions’ all-time greats.

Inez Smith also delivered, placing ninth with a 20:57.9 time to secure another top-10 finish. As a team, the Crusaders totaled 74 points, finishing 17 points clear of runner-up Bishop Fenwick and leaving little doubt about the squad’s dominance on race day.

With the D2C crown in hand, the Crusaders will shift focus to remaining meets such as the Tournament of Champions, where the Flagg sisters and the program’s supporting cast will look to extend their strong late-season form. Whitinsville Christian’s combination of star talent and depth makes them a team to watch in the remaining meets of the year, including the MIAA Meet of Champions.
