The Hopkinton Hillers participated in the Tri-Valley League Showcase in Wrentham last Saturday, with the TVL’s best talent on full display. The Hillers faced off against Ashland, Dedham, Dover-Sherborn, Holliston, Medfield, Westwood, Bellingham, Medway, and Norton for the TVL Championship.
Hopkinton faced some great teams and individual performers, but ultimately, the Hillers were too dominant to be denied the crown. Hopkinton ended up with a 48 score, far outpacing the No. 2 Ashland with a score of 70. The Hillers had a fantastic performance overall, with Sean Finnegan pacing the way.
Finnegan finished with a time of 15:11, which was the best time of the day. He was a full 27 seconds faster than second place, showcasing his mastery. Hopkinton’s Matt Fitzgibbons rounded out the top five with an impressive time of 16:05.2, showing the Hillers top tier talent.
Now TVL Champions, the Hillers will look to continue sharpening their craft in preparation for future tournaments. With Finnegan and Fitzgibbons at the helm, the Hillers will be a tough out for anyone.
