The Whitinsville-Christian Crusaders boys’ tennis squad has enjoyed a breakout campaign, sitting at 3-1 after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Tantasqua Warriors earlier this month. Tantasqua, a well-regarded 6-4 program, pushed the Crusaders to the brink, but Whitinsville relied on senior leadership to secure the win. Brady Gorman claimed the decisive final set in a thrilling three-setter, while fellow seniors Dillin McAlister and Mark Yargen earned key singles victories to set the tone. That win marked a turning point for the Crusaders, who had not played since April 17th. This Monday at 3:45 PM, W-C will host South High Community School in their first home match of the season. The Colonels present a formidable challenge, and the Crusaders will be eager to showcase their progress in front of a home crowd. Following this contest, Whitinsville-Christian enters a stretch of six consecutive home matches running through May 13th against the Northbridge Rams. With strong senior performances and growing confidence, the Crusaders have a prime opportunity to cement their status as a top contender and build momentum headed into postseason play.
