The Whitinsville-Christian Crusaders boys’ tennis team stretched its winning streak to six matches with a 4–1 victory over Worcester South on Wednesday. The win underscored W-C’s balanced lineup and resilience under pressure as they gear up for their final regular-season test. First singles saw Brady Gorman display textbook power and control, cruising to a 6–0, 6–1 victory and setting the tone early. At second singles, Logan O’Connell and his opponent traded games before Logan prevailed in a tight third-set tiebreak, rallying to a 10 8 finish. That hard-earned win secured the team victory. Mark Yarger then closed out the singles slate with a straight-sets win at third singles, demonstrating the Crusaders’ depth. In first doubles, the pair that dropped just one game showed steely nerves and precise poaching to win 6–1, 6–2. The remaining doubles team sealed the sweep with aggressive net play and consistent returns, finishing the afternoon unscathed. Now sitting at 6–1, Whitinsville-Christian prepares for a Monday rematch against Uxbridge at home. Having already beaten the Spartans once, the Crusaders will look to sweep the season series and secure momentum heading into the postseason.
