The 2025 Clark Tournament, one of the marquee events in small school basketball, kicks off this Saturday, February 15th, at Oxford High School. In the first round, #3 David Prouty faces #6 Blackstone-Millville, #2 Ayer Shirley meets #7 Maynard, #4 Uxbridge challenges #5 Sutton, and top-seeded #1 Hopedale squares off with #8 Leicester.
The special focus is on Uxbridge, Hopedale, and Blackstone-Millville—communities with deep basketball traditions and key markets for our readership. Uxbridge, riding on two straight wins, is eager for its third small school tournament title (and sixth overall) after back-to-back triumphs in 2011 and 2012. Hopedale, boasting a 15-2 record led by senior guard Patrick Madden, is chasing its seventh Clark Tournament crown, aiming to end a long drought since 2004. Meanwhile, Blackstone-Millville, with a 10-8 record and led by sophomore Jackson Dunton, is pursuing its first small school title—and second overall.
Adding to the drama, Maynard, last year’s champion, defends its title despite a drop in seeding from #1 to #7. With storied rivalries and high stakes, the tournament promises a weekend of intense, hard-fought basketball action.
The action begins at 12 pm at Oxford High School (100 Carbuncle Drive, Oxford, MA, 01540). Ticket prices are $2.00 for K-6, $5.00 for grades 7-12 and senior citizens, and $10.00 for adults.
