The Hopkinton Hillers girls’ soccer team celebrated senior night in emphatic fashion, rolling to an 8-0 win over the Norwood Mustangs on Tuesday. The Hillers rebounded from a 3-0 loss to Wellesley by producing a dominant attacking display that delighted the home crowd and honored the graduating class.

Alia Chase was the unquestioned star, scoring four goals and spearheading Hopkinton’s relentless offense. Alex Clarke, Allyson Green, Ashley McCann, and Elise Jacomme each contributed goals as well, giving the Hillers scoring from multiple sources and leaving Norwood little room to respond.

Hopkinton enters its regular-season finale tonight against Brookline at 5:30 PM after improving to 13-2-2 and holding the No. 11 seed in D1 girls soccer. Brookline (5-7-5, No. 14 seed) presents a solid opponent, but the Hillers will be heavy favorites at home and can potentially improve their playoff seeding with a strong finish.

Clinching a top-10 seed is within reach if results break their way, so Hopkinton will lean on its senior leaders and the form shown on senior night to finish the season on a high note and head into the postseason with confidence.
