Nipmuc’s Charlotte Leitch excelled all season for the Warriors’ softball team, shining both at the plate and, most notably, on the mound. This year, her offensive production was impressive, but it was her “otherworldly” pitching that set her apart. Leitch was honored as the Dual Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year after leading Nipmuc to the Division 3 semifinals, where they fell to eventual champion Dighton‑Rehoboth.
Leitch’s postseason performances defined her season. In the quarterfinals against Tantasqua, she delivered a masterful seven shutout innings, fanning 11 and allowing just one hit. Even in the semifinals, she gave Nipmuc a chance, throwing six innings and yielding three earned runs despite receiving no run support. Those outings encapsulated the consistency and dominance that earned her the DVC honor.
Coaches across the league recognized Leitch’s impact as a bona fide ace in the pitching circle. As a rising junior, she’ll look to build on this success and push the Warriors all the way to a state title next spring.
