The Blackstone-Millville baseball team battled hard Tuesday afternoon but fell short in a 2–1 loss to Keefe Tech. In a tightly contested game, Chargers starter Zack Bell turned in an impressive outing, allowing just one hit and two runs while striking out five. Despite his strong performance on the mound, the Chargers couldn’t generate offense against Broncos pitcher Joey Secatore, who threw a dominant no-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks. The loss drops Blackstone-Millville to 1–13 on the season, a campaign that’s been filled with growing pains and offensive struggles. However, there are signs of improvement. The Chargers recently notched their first win of the season against Sutton and are 1–2 in their last three games—evidence of late-season progress. While their record doesn’t reflect it, Blackstone-Millville’s pitching staff has kept them in games, and their ability to stay competitive is a step in the right direction. The Chargers will look to build on this as they wrap up their season with a road game against West Boylston on Monday at 4:15 PM.
