Championship Reflections: Panthers on Top

This past Saturday, Coach Neely and standout players Jake Olmstead, Seth Odonnell, and Caden Sullivan joined MyFM to reflect on their program’s first championship of the season. The team discussed everything from their key priorities throughout the season to the emotions that surged after lifting the title.

Coach Neely pointed out that, unlike last year’s dominant Worcester North, this year’s bracket was more balanced. After reviewing game film, he realized that if the Panthers executed the “championship details,” they had every chance to win. He expressed pride in his squad, noting that every player exceeded expectations—even MVP Caden Sullivan, who once scored 25 points in a game under unsustainable circumstances.

Caden shared his personal milestone of preparing for his 1,000th point. Emphasizing a team-first mentality, he stated that during a run, the focus should always remain on the collective effort. Once the run ended, he celebrated with his parents and friends, cherishing the accomplishment while inspiring his teammates.
