Nipmuc High School’s baseball team saw its Nipmuc Spring Series run conclude with a 13-0 loss to the Grafton Gators last night. The Warriors had earlier powered through an 8-1 semifinal victory over Tri-County, highlighted by Sean Burchard’s 3-for-4 performance at the plate and Jackson Allcock’s two–RBI outing. Grafton’s dominant tournament included an 11-1 semifinal win over Bartlett, during which Chris Kiesiner struck out 11 batters and launched a home run. Facing Grafton’s momentum, Nipmuc was unable to generate any runs but will turn its focus immediately to the next challenge. Tomorrow at 11 AM, the Warriors travel to Medway, where they’ll look to rebound. Nipmuc’s pitchers must find their form after yielding 13 runs, and the offense will aim to recapture the timely hitting that carried them through earlier rounds. A strong showing at Medway would help reset confidence and keep Nipmuc in contention as the regular season unfolds.
