Brady McCormack Powers Medfield’s Rushing Machine

Medfield’s dominant running back Brady McCormack delivered another explosive performance as the Warriors steamrolled the Medway Mustangs 34-6. Medfield improved to 5-0 and sits No. 3 in the D5 power rankings largely because of its smash-mouth rushing attack. Against Medway, the Warriors piled up 321 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns; McCormack himself carried the load with 241 yards on 24 carries and three scores.

The Warriors lean heavily on their ground game, and when McCormack is operating at this level, the offense becomes nearly unstoppable. His combination of volume and burst allows Medfield to control tempo, chew clock, and open up opportunities in short-yardage and red-zone situations. Medfield’s earlier win over Nipmuc, a 44-22 result where McCormack accounted for 280 rushing yards and four TDs plus two two-point conversions, further underscores how pivotal he has been to the team’s success.

This Friday’s matchup with Millis at 6 p.m. presents another opportunity for Medfield to deploy its run-first philosophy. Millis enters at 2-3 and has conceded an average of 25.6 points per game; that suggests Medfield will again look to impose its will on the ground and lean on McCormack for 20+ carries as the centerpiece. If he remains this dominant, Medfield should continue to control games and maintain its unbeaten run.
