Blue Raiders Baseball Celebrate Senior Day, Eye Bay Path Test

Hopedale’s baseball squad enjoyed Senior Day festivities with a 13–4 blowout of AMSA before splitting midweek action. In the Senior Day for the Class of ’25, the Blue Raiders’ offense erupted for sixteen hits. Sophomore Noah Smith led the way, going 4–4 with four RBIs, while several other bats chipped in timely knocks. Hopedale’s pitching staff then navigated the late innings to preserve the Senior Day victory. Their momentum was halted in a tight 3–1 loss to Nipmuc last Wednesday. Nipmuc ace Dylan Muccini turned in a herculean outing, six innings of one-run ball with nine strikeouts, stifling the Blue Raiders’ bats. Hopedale mounted a solid defensive effort but couldn’t overcome that decisive fifth inning run. Undeterred, the Raiders rebounded in style on Friday against Auburn, ranked No. 4 in Division 3. Behind crisp situational hitting and error-free defense, Hopedale cruised to a 7–1 victory over the Rockets. This statement win likely secured the Raiders a top-five playoff seed. Next up for Hopedale is a road test at Bay Path tomorrow at 4 PM. The Minutemen hover on the fringe of the D2 playoffs, making this a high-quality matchup late in the regular season.
