Blackstone Valley Tech capped off its regular season with a thrilling 12-11 victory over Bellingham on Sunday afternoon. The Beavers jumped out to an early lead, plating seven runs in the first inning and adding five more in the sixth. But the Blackhawks didn’t go quietly, storming back with eight runs in the fourth and two more in the seventh. The Beavers managed to slam the door in the final frame to preserve the win. Offensively, Blackstone Valley was fueled by standout performances. J.J. Macdonald led the charge with three hits and three RBIs, while Dylan Diosomito chipped in a double and drove in two more runs. The Beavers’ offense proved just potent enough to withstand the Blackhawks’ comeback bid. The win moves Blackstone Valley to 10-10 on the season, but unfortunately, they narrowly missed the Division 3 state tournament. Ranked 39th in the MIAA power rankings, the Beavers finished just seven spots shy of the playoff cut line. The Beavers are participating in the State Vocational Tournament and will advance to the finals after taking down Shawsheen 5-1 last night.
