As the 2025 football season draws closer, the Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers are back on the practice field, eager to build on a legacy of consistency. A fixture in the region’s high school football scene, the Beavers are looking to make the playoffs for the 16th consecutive season, an accomplishment that speaks to the program’s stability and culture.
Last year, Blackstone finished 6–5, reaching the Division 5 playoff tournament before bowing out in the first round to Auburn, 32–7. That game left the Beavers determined to raise the bar this season. They’ll have to do it with a younger roster, as several key All-Stars from last year’s squad have graduated. The early part of the schedule will provide a real test, especially the season opener against a tough Rockets team.
That first game on Friday, September 12th, will be more than just a chance to start the season strong; it will be a benchmark for how well the Beavers have retooled. With a mix of returning leaders and emerging talent, Blackstone’s long-standing playoff streak is on the line, but the players and coaching staff are embracing the challenge.
