Blackstone Valley closed the regular season in emphatic fashion Monday night, routing the Grafton Gators 8-1 to finish with a four-game winning streak and a 5-0-1 mark over their last six outings. The Beavers carried momentum through the lineup, turning a competitive early period into a runaway contest with a five-goal second period that put the game out of reach.
Jake Greenstein stole the show with a hat trick, while Maximus Pilkington contributed two goals and an assist. Max Krauss, Jack Plourde, and Jackson Giombetti each added goals, and the depth scoring underlined the balanced attack Blackstone Valley brought all season. The Beavers held a two-goal lead after the first period before exploding in the second and cruising through the third to close the regular season strong.
Blackstone Valley finished the year at 11-5-2 and earned the No. 17 seed in the D3 boys hockey bracket. The program will learn its Round of 32 opponent soon and hopes to carry its late-season form and multi-line scoring into the postseason as it looks to make a run from a confident, in-form position.
