The Blackstone Valley Tech Beavers got their payback. In a thrilling 7–5 extra-innings victory over Bay Path RVT, the Beavers avenged an early-season blowout loss and extended their win streak to six games. It was a statement win for a team that has completely flipped the script after opening the season with back-to-back defeats. Blackstone RVT had given up an average of 13 runs per game in those early losses, including the lopsided 17–6 defeat to Bay Path, where Dale Nussey drove in a staggering seven RBIs for the Minutemen. But since then, the Beavers have tightened the screws, allowing just 1.6 runs per game while averaging 9.6 runs of their own. Leading the resurgence has been standout Maximus Pilkington, who recently went 2-for-4 against Montachusett RVT, helping fuel the offensive firepower. With renewed intensity and a little revenge behind them, the Beavers are charging ahead, eyeing a big season that’s suddenly full of promise.
