Bellingham Volleyball Rebounds, Eyes Key Rematch

Bellingham boys’ volleyball got back on track Tuesday afternoon with a commanding 3-0 win over King Philip Regional, improving to 8-3 overall and 5-2 in the Tri-Valley League. The win was a bounce-back performance after recent inconsistencies and reestablished the Blackhawks as one of the TVL’s top contenders. Bellingham was firing on all cylinders, overpowering the Warriors in straight sets despite a solid effort from KP’s Nolan Franz, who posted 21 digs, 10 kills, and a service ace. Bellingham’s depth and energy, however, proved too much to handle. Now second in the league standings, only behind Nipmuc, Bellingham will look to keep momentum rolling in a matchup against Hopkinton. Earlier in the season, the Blackhawks beat the Hillers 3-1 and hope to repeat that success. Friday looms large, as Bellingham faces off against league-leader Nipmuc in a rematch with first place on the line. A win would mark a huge step forward in the Blackhawks’ title chase.
