BELLINGHAM — The Bellingham Fire Department Local 2071 is gearing up for its Annual Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 29, and organizers are asking the community to lend a hand before the bags start flying.
As preparations continue for the popular fundraising event, Local 2071 is currently accepting donations of raffle prizes from local businesses and community members. Gift cards, themed baskets, merchandise, services and other raffle items are all welcomed to help make this year’s event a success.
The annual tournament has become a community gathering that brings together residents, firefighters and local businesses for a day of friendly competition, food and fundraising. Organizers say the event is a chance to support the firefighters who serve the Bellingham community while enjoying a fun-filled day with family and friends.
Businesses interested in contributing raffle prizes are encouraged to get involved, as donated items help raise additional funds during the event and provide exciting prizes for attendees.
Whether you’re planning to compete or simply stop by to support the cause, organizers encourage residents to mark their calendars for Aug. 29 and join the Bellingham Fire Department for a day of cornhole, good food and community spirit.
