Blackstone Valley Tech earned a dramatic 5-4 win over the Hopedale Blue Raiders on Tuesday afternoon, thanks to a gritty comeback and standout individual performances. The Beavers found themselves in a 4-0 hole early but stormed back, beginning with a crucial rally in the fourth inning and taking the lead for good in the fifth. Senior Alex Vosburgh played hero, launching a home run and tallying two RBIs to power the Beavers’ offense. On the mound, reliever Jack Marino was lights out, delivering 3.2 shutout innings to shut the door on Hopedale and preserve the narrow victory. The Blue Raiders weren’t without strong performances of their own. Brady Wajda had two hits and drove in a pair of runs, keeping Hopedale ahead early. But the Beavers’ bats came alive at the right time and their bullpen held strong when it mattered most. This victory marks BVT’s second straight after dropping back-to-back games to Tantasqua and Auburn. The Beavers look to keep that momentum rolling on Monday when they face the struggling Westborough Rangers, who currently sit at 1-10. With confidence and consistency growing, BVT is poised to push toward a strong second half of the season.
