WRENTHAM – On Wednesday, March 25th, a memorable evening filled with great food and meaningful connection recently took place at Gilly’s House.
Executive Chef Nick Calais of The Colonnade Hotel, along with Dan Buker, generously donated their time and talents to prepare an incredible dinner for the men at the house. The meal featured ribeye, potatoes au gratin, garlic green beans, Caesar salad, and a dessert of chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce.

Beyond the meal itself, the chefs shared their knowledge, offered cooking tips, and spent time connecting with residents—creating a truly impactful experience. The evening was made possible in part by Gilly’s House board member Keith Birchall, whose efforts helped bring everyone together.
The night also included a special homemade carrot cake from neighbor Valerie Dickinson, adding another thoughtful touch to the celebration.

Gilly’s House provides men with opportunities for social, educational, and vocational growth in a structured, supportive environment focused on long-term sobriety. Moments like this highlight the power of community and the positive impact of giving back.
