Keep Wrentham Beautiful is a local chapter of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, focused on making the town “a cleaner, greener place to live, work, and play,” according to one of the organizers Julie Garland.
The April 11th cleanup is open to all residents, with no experience required.
Volunteers will check in at the Town Common, where they will be provided with safety vests, gloves, trash pickers and bags before heading out to assigned or self-selected areas in need of cleanup. Once finished, participants can return collected trash to designated locations for pickup by the Department of Public Works.
The organization works closely with local partners, including the town’s DPW, schools, scouts and community groups, helping expand its reach and impact through volunteer support and shared resources.
In addition to the spring cleanup, Keep Wrentham Beautiful hosts a variety of initiatives throughout the year, including fall cleanups, summer spot cleanups and environmental projects such as tree plantings.
Garland emphasized that efforts like these go beyond maintaining appearance and play a larger role in strengthening community connections.
“It reinforces a cycle of care for not only the town and its open spaces, but for our neighbors,” mentions Garland.
Residents interested in participating can register by emailing [email protected] or by visiting the organization’s Facebook page for more information.
