Fri, Feb 20 from 3:30pm to 3:30pm
Upton Community Center

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the National Archives and the National Park Service are teaming up for a special project to transcribe Revolutionary War Pension Files—over 80,000 of them—to preserve and share critical first-hand accounts from the Revolutionary War era. These files contain personal stories, military details, and documentation that provide a window into the lives of those who helped shape our nation’s history.

To support this national initiative, the Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park and the Uxbridge Historical Society are hosting a local transcription event where volunteers can help bring these stories to life.
