The Greenleaf Garden Club
Festive November Gala

The Greenleaf Garden Club is excited to announce that we will once again be hosting this fun and festive event with a program titled “Home for the Holidays”. The gala will take place on November 16 in a new location, The Hoboken Citizens Club (252 Central Street in Milford). Doors will open at 6:00pm with refreshments and a chance to purchase tickets for the drawing of theme baskets, craft items, and gift certificates from local businesses. The program begins at 7:00pm.

The program will feature floral designer Patrice Iacovelli, the former owner of Francis Flowers, a Milford institution. She will be donating a large Thanksgiving arrangement that will be a door prize. She will be showing us how to create 3 different types of Christmas arrangements: A Christmas centerpiece, a winter cemetery wooden box and a guest room holiday arrangement. Patrice was born, raised and educated in the Milford school system. Her parents owned and operated the Francis Flower Shop for over 70 years and she started working there at age 2 sweeping floors. She left Milford to attend Wheaton, Babson and New York University and lived in Colorado and New York City. She returned to Milford 25 years ago to assist her parents, Francis and Tess, and brother John full time in the family business.

Chairperson Michele Creamer notes “everyone enjoys this festive night and it is a lovely way to get in the mood for the upcoming season”. There are delicious refreshments and raffles for beautiful baskets, gift certificates, craft items and a drawing for $150.00 worth of lottery tickets.

All area residents are invited to attend the popular community event. Tickets are $15.00 and can be obtained from any Greenleaf Garden Club member or by contacting Nancy at [email protected]. Club members note that the event sells out early. The funds raised help us support two scholarships as well as programs at Countryside Health Care and the Milford Youth Center as well as 17 locations with seasonal
