Join us as Park Ranger Allison Horrocks of the Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park presents a talk on labor activism in the Blackstone Valley, exploring the region’s pivotal role in the history of American workers’ movements. From early mill protests to the 1913 Hopedale labor strike at the Draper Company, Horrocks will examine how workers across the Valley organized to challenge wages, working conditions, and corporate power during the rise of industrialization. Drawing on stories from the mills and communities that shaped the Valley, the presentation highlights the people and events that made the region an important center in the struggle for workers’ rights.
