Richard worked for many years as a general contractor with Saxonville Realty Trust.
He is survived by his children, Richie King and his husband, Luis Alvarez, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Tina Sontag and her husband, Andy, of West Boylston; and Tammy Carmichael and her husband, Dennis, of Gardner. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Javier Calvillo of Fitchburg; his sisters, Diane Woodfin of Marietta, Georgia, and Shirley King of Limestone, Maine; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Stochaj) King; his daughter, Peggy Sue Calvillo; his sister, Theresa; his brother, Norman; and his parents.
Friends and family may pay their respects Monday, November 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main Street, Westborough.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 10th at 10:30 AM at the St. Luke the Evangelist Church, located at 70 West Main Street in Westborough. Burial will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
