FRANKLIN – A trial date has been set in the 2021 death of a Franklin woman allegedly at the hands of her ex-husband. Brendon Owen is charged with the murder of Shirley Owen at her Grace Lane home. Police say Owen also attacked Shirley’s mother and set the house on fire.
The Franklin Observer reports Owen has been held without bail since his arrest nearly five years ago and is now on his fourth attorney and at least his third judge in the case. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 16, with the trial set for June.
