Bob served in the United States Navy and began his career at General Motors, where he worked for 27 years. He later worked as a detail officer for the Hopkinton Police Department and performed maintenance at the Congregational Church in Hopkinton. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly fishing and camping with Nancy.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert L. Fayard Jr. and his wife, Brigitte G. Fayard of Hopkinton, and Cheryl Fayard of Arizona, as well as nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Milton John Fayard Jr., Barbara Jean Johnson, and Mary Ann Wallace.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28th, from 9 to 11 AM at Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, located at 57 Hayden Rowe St. A funeral home service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
