Franklin earned a hard-fought 17-14 football victory over Milford on Friday night, handing the Scarlet Hawks their first loss of the season.
The Panthers’ defense proved to be the difference-maker, stepping up in the second half to shut out Milford after the break. Franklin’s defensive effort protected the three-point lead and helped secure a key win over an undefeated Milford squad.
With the victory, Franklin will look to carry its momentum into next Friday’s matchup against Attleboro, which the Panthers will host at home.
Milford, meanwhile, will aim to bounce back from its first defeat of the season when the Scarlet Hawks travel to take on Abington on Friday.
