1937 - 2026

Born in Boston to Sicilian immigrants Giuseppe and Rosaria (Motta) Casto, Edward was the sixth of seven children. He graduated from East Boston High School in 1955. In 1964, he married his first wife, Bruna (Fornaciari), and together they raised three children in Somerville and Marlborough. Known as “Eddy” to his friends, Edward was a skilled experimental machinist who worked in the field for more than 40 years. He was also an accomplished ballroom dancer and an avid candlepin bowler, carrying a 112 league average during his prime. He was active in the community as a member of St. Ann’s Parish in Marlborough and through his involvement with Little League Baseball and Boy Scout Troop 41.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Tina Casto of North Grafton; his sons, Joseph and his wife, Rachel Bowden, of Bloomington, Illinois, and Michael and his wife, Sheila (Houde), of Marlborough; his grandchildren, Gabriella and Cooper; his sister, Rose of Everett; his brother, Tony of Watertown; and many nieces, nephews, and their children.
