Irene “Bubbie” Ginsburg, 92, of Ashland
1934 - 2026

Irene graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester before marrying Herbert in 1955. They built their life together in Natick, where they raised three children. Irene worked for many years as an office manager at Natick Labs and enjoyed playing softball with the Rusty Roadrunners, an all-women’s softball league.

Irene loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, hosting family gatherings for Jewish holidays, and was known for her famous brisket and minestrone soup. She and Herbert also loved to travel, spending summers at Point East in Wells, Maine, before eventually retiring to Boynton Beach, Florida.

Irene is survived by her children, Sheree King and her husband, Paul, of Framingham; Steve Ginsburg and his partner, Dr. Geralyn Drumheller, of Georgia; and Gordon Ginsburg and his wife, Kathy, of Billerica. She also leaves four grandchildren, Jennifer Newbury and her husband, Paul; Brenna King and her wife, Barbara; Paul Ginsburg and his wife, Michelle; and Samantha Ginsburg and her fiancé, Sandro Pobric; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth, and Vienna; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother and sister.

The family extends its thanks to the staff at The Residence at Valley Farm in Ashland and Metrowest Hospice Care for their support.

Family and friends are invited to sit Shiva at Sheree and Paul King’s home on Sunday, October 25th from noon to 4 PM. Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation of America.
