HOPKINTON – A Hopkinton woman has been sentenced to more than two years in federal prison for her role in a scheme that defrauded banks in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Rosemary Parks pleaded guilty in May to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. Investigators say that in 2024 she used fraudulent driver’s licenses to impersonate at least eight bank customers, withdrawing a total of approximately $536,000 from their accounts.
Parks was sentenced to a little more than two years in prison. A co-defendant, William Shaw, has also pleaded guilty.
