Born in Oceanside, New York, Michael was the son of Peter and Anna (Fico) Meade. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree.
Michael began his career with the U.S. Department of the Navy, working at the Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command from 1993 to 1998. He later became a technical specialist with the Multifunction Information Distribution System Program Office, where he worked from 1998 until 2025.
Michael lived in La Jolla, California, for many years before moving to Hopedale in 2025. He enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, including crosswords, Sudoku, and jigsaw puzzles. He was also an avid golfer and a passionate sports fan who followed the New York Yankees, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Penguins, and college football.
Michael is survived by his parents, Michael and Anna Meade of Williamsburg, Virginia; his sister, Lisa (Meade) Maloney and her husband, Patrick, of Hopedale; and his nephews, Ryan Maloney of Boston and Kyle Maloney of Hopedale.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place.
A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, October 10th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, located at 44 Congress Street in Milford. Funeral services will follow at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the MetroWest Hospice, located at 33 Boston Post Road West, Suite 120, in Marlborough, or to The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Milford Regional Medical Center, c/o Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, located at 14 Prospect Street in Milford.
