It was a battle of the unbeaten Thursday night as the Franklin and Canton field hockey teams squared off, with Franklin coming away with a hard-fought 2-1 victory on the road.
Senior Ella Marzullo provided all of Franklin’s offense, scoring both goals for the Warriors. Her second goal proved to be the difference, as she found the back of the net at the end of the second quarter to give Franklin the lead.
Franklin held on from there to improve to 7-0 on the season, continuing its perfect start against one of the area’s other undefeated teams.
The Warriors will look to keep their winning streak going when they return home Monday to take on Taunton.
