1949 - 2026
Elaine worked for the telephone company for more than 30 years before retiring. A longtime member of the Milford community, she was known for her quick wit, honesty, strong personality, loyalty, and generous heart.
Although she never had children of her own, Elaine was a devoted “Auntie” to Nicholas and Katelyn Trotta, whom she loved as her own. She later took great joy in being “Auntie” to Katelyn’s children, Enzo and Vera Ruscitti.
Elaine enjoyed driving around listening to oldies, football Sundays surrounded by family and friends, summers at her camper in the Adirondacks, trips to Saratoga Race Course, and spending time with her pets. She was a longtime supporter of Best Friends Animal Society and cared deeply about animal welfare.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph M. Blake and Josephine (Villani) Blake; her niece and nephew, Nicholas and Katelyn Trotta; her great-nieces and nephews, Enzo and Vera Ruscitti; and many longtime friends who she considered family.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home in Milford.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 28th at the Sacred Heart Church in Milford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society in honor of Elaine’s lifelong love of animals.
