MILFORD — Milford Legion Baseball is getting an early start on preparations for its 2027 season, with signups now open for players interested in joining the team for its 98th season.
Players interested in being part of the longtime Milford baseball program can sign up by visiting the Milford Legion Baseball Facebook page, where a link to the team’s interest form is available.
The upcoming season follows a strong 2026 campaign for Milford Post 59. The team advanced through the Massachusetts American Legion postseason and reached the state championship game, where Milford faced Franklin Post 75. Franklin ultimately won the championship, defeating Milford 3-2 in eight innings at Fino Field on July 30.
Milford’s 2026 season also included a return to the state tournament at Fino Field, where the club served as host. The tournament marked the first time Milford had hosted the Massachusetts Senior State Tournament since 2022.
The 2027 season will mark another chapter in one of Milford’s longest-running athletic traditions. The program, sponsored by American Legion Post 59, has won 11 state championships in its history and has made three appearances in the American Legion World Series.
With the 2027 season approaching, the team is encouraging interested players to start signing up and gearing up for the summer season.
