WESTBOROUGH — GIRL Boxing Club is teaming up with Trybe Fitness for a free youth boxing class this Saturday, giving girls ages 3 to 16 an opportunity to learn boxing skills, build friendships and grow their confidence.
The class will take place Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Trybe Fitness in Westborough.
GIRL Boxing Club is a nonprofit program focused on creating a supportive environment where girls can safely learn the fundamentals of boxing. The classes are non-contact, open to all skill levels and completely free.
No equipment is needed to participate, as gloves and other necessary gear will be provided.
This week’s class will feature a “School of Rock” theme, with rock ’n’ roll music playing throughout the session. Participants are encouraged to dress in their “rockstar best” or wear a favorite band T-shirt.
Registration is free but required. A parent or guardian must also complete a digital waiver before the participant’s first GIRL Boxing Club class at Trybe Fitness.
The event is designed to give young girls a fun way to stay active while developing confidence, coordination and positive relationships in and outside of the gym.
