Born in Milford, Alfred was the son of the late Joseph C. and Margaret B. (Brown) DiAntonio. He attended Milford Public Schools as well as Indian Lake Academy in Worcester.
As a young man, Alfred worked in the maintenance department at the former Framingham Union Hospital. He later made his home in Grafton, where he lived for the past 31 years.
Alfred loved spending time outdoors and was an avid walker. Family visits to Martha’s Vineyard held a special place in his heart, as did memories of quahogging with his late father, Joseph. He was also a dedicated supporter of food banks and their work helping those in need.
Alfred is survived by his brothers, Jerry DiAntonio and his wife, Elaine, of Sun City, Florida, and James DiAntonio and his wife, Pam, of Mashpee; his sisters, Jessie Traigen and her husband, Jason, of Sarasota, Florida, Maggie Chianese and her husband, Tony, of Mendon, and Lisa Simmons and her husband, Lester, of Milford. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Marcie McGrath, Joseph DiAntonio Jr. and Robert DiAntonio.
In accordance with Alfred’s wishes, cremation will take place.
A private committal service for his cremains will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford at the convenience of the family.
