MEDWAY – September is Hunger Action Month, and Medway’s new dedicated food pantry is already seeing significant demand from the community.

During its first three weeks of operation, the facility was visited by more than 1,600 people, with approximately one-third of those served being children.

The new facility opened following years of planning and work to provide the Medway Food Pantry with a dedicated space to serve residents experiencing food insecurity.

Throughout Hunger Action Month, the organization is raising awareness about hunger and ways community members can help. Residents who need assistance or would like to donate or volunteer can find additional information through the Medway Food Pantry website.
