HOLLISTON — Celebrate Holliston will return for its 35th annual celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19, bringing a parade, field day, local vendors, a chili contest and family activities back to the community.
The day will begin with the Celebrate Holliston parade at 9 a.m. Participants will line up at the Water Street Mills parking lot, beginning between 8:00 and 8:45 a.m. Community groups, businesses, neighborhoods, families, classic cars, bands, cheerleaders, floats and mascots are all welcome to participate.
Following the parade, Field Day will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a rain date of Sept. 26. The celebration will include dozens of vendor and artisan booths, inflatables, a chili contest and other activities throughout the day.
Celebrate Holliston organizers are also continuing to seek volunteers to help make this year’s event possible. Volunteers are being asked to work approximately two-hour shifts, and everyone who volunteers will receive a free T-shirt.
The organization says volunteers are an important part of staging the annual community celebration and is encouraging residents to participate alongside friends and family. Celebrate Holliston also welcomes people interested in becoming more involved with the organization throughout the year.
Booth registration is also currently available for organizations and businesses interested in participating in Field Day. Organizers note that electrical access is limited and participating vendors should consider their needs when registering.
The 35th annual Celebrate Holliston takes place Saturday, Sept. 19, with the parade beginning at 9 a.m. and Field Day running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
