HOPKINTON – Two people are facing OUI charges following separate incidents in Hopkinton over the weekend as police continue a summer impaired-driving enforcement campaign.

Police say officers responded early Saturday morning to an overturned vehicle driven by a 19-year-old whose blood alcohol concentration was allegedly more than three times the legal limit. In a separate incident, officers responded to another crashed vehicle where police say the 30-year-old driver had a BAC approximately twice the legal limit.

Both drivers were arrested for operating under the influence.

The arrests come as Hopkinton Police participate in a grant-funded summer OUI enforcement campaign. The funding allows the department to put additional officers on the road specifically for traffic enforcement through September 15th.
