HOPKINTON — Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton is preparing for the 17th annual Paws & Claws 5K, bringing runners, walkers and supporters together this fall for a fundraiser benefiting the local animal shelter.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4 at Hopkinton State Park, with the 5K run and walk beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Baypath is currently offering early-bird registration, with participants able to save $5 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23.
The first 300 people to register will also receive an official 2026 Paws & Claws 5K T-shirt.
Participants can take part individually or expand their involvement through Baypath’s peer-to-peer fundraising program, which allows registrants to raise additional money in support of the organization.
The annual event has become a fall tradition for Baypath Humane Society, combining outdoor recreation with support for the shelter’s work on behalf of animals in the community.
The 17th annual Paws & Claws 5K takes place Sunday, Oct. 4 at Hopkinton State Park, 164 Cedar Street, with the run and walk beginning at 10:30 a.m.
