FRANKLIN — The Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation will host its 37th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, Aug. 17, at Franklin Country Club, raising money to support some of Milford Regional Medical Center’s highest-priority patient care needs.
The foundation serves as the philanthropic partner of UMass Memorial Health – Milford Regional Medical Center, and proceeds from the tournament will benefit Milford Regional’s Annual Fund. The unrestricted funding allows the hospital to respond to changing needs across its programs, services, technology and patient care initiatives.
“The Golf Classic has been a longstanding tradition that reflects the extraordinary generosity of our community and the shared commitment to ensuring exceptional care remains close to home,” said Edward J. Kelly, President and CEO of Milford Regional Medical Center.
Kelly said the support of sponsors and participants helps strengthen the hospital’s ability to meet the evolving needs of patients throughout the region.
The tournament will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start at Franklin Country Club and conclude with a reception featuring raffle prizes and awards.
Golf Committee Chair Joyce Gilmore, who has been involved with the event for more than 30 years, said the tournament continues to demonstrate the strong relationship between the hospital and the surrounding community.
“The event represents an enjoyable day on the golf course, but more importantly, a meaningful opportunity to give back to Milford Regional, a cornerstone of our Milford-area community,” Gilmore said.
Sponsorship opportunities remain available for companies interested in supporting the fundraiser. This year’s Gold Sponsors include Milton CAT and Oliva’s Market, while a large group of local and regional businesses have signed on as Silver and Bronze Sponsors.
The 2026 Golf Committee also includes Kathy Cunningham, Michelle D’Aniello, Nancy Davidge, Shefali Desai, Brooke Littleton-Fitzgerald, John Morte, Derek Plourde, Joe Soares and Carla Tuttle.
Milford Regional Medical Center is a 148-bed nonprofit acute-care teaching hospital serving patients from more than 20 communities across Central Massachusetts.
