HOLLISTON – A man who was previously deported from the United States following multiple drunken driving convictions is now facing federal charges after authorities say he illegally returned to Massachusetts.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Luis Rolando Clavijo Tacuri, who was deported to Ecuador several years ago after accumulating three OUI convictions, was arrested in Milford last year on another alleged OUI offense.
Federal prosecutors have now charged Tacuri with unlawful reentry into the United States. He remains in federal custody in Boston and, if convicted, faces up to two years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and another deportation.
