SPRINGFIELD — Basketball fans will have plenty to experience this week at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, as the museum is hosting a series of special events on its Center Court featuring NBA champions, college basketball stars and interactive fan experiences.
The week begins with Celtics Day, where fans can meet 2008 NBA Champion Brian Scalabrine, see the 2024 Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy and visit with Lucky the Celtics mascot during a special event at 1 p.m.
The Hall of Fame is also recognizing Healthcare Workers Appreciation Week from Monday, Aug. 3 through Friday, Aug. 7, offering free admission to healthcare workers who present a valid healthcare worker ID.
Additional Center Court events throughout the week include:
- Wednesday, Aug. 5 (1 p.m.) – Meet three-time NBA champion and defensive standout Bruce Bowen, who won three NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs.
- Thursday, Aug. 6 (1 p.m.) – A Solo Ball Hangout featuring the 2024 UConn national champion.
- Sunday, Aug. 9 (Noon) – A special appearance with Silas Demary Jr. and Colben Landrew from the UConn men’s basketball program.
Visitors can also explore the Hall of Fame’s new “Stephen Curry: Beyond the Arc” exhibit, which will be available throughout the week.
With opportunities to meet basketball legends, celebrate the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics, explore a brand-new Stephen Curry exhibit and enjoy appearances from some of college basketball’s rising stars, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame is offering something for fans of all ages throughout the week.
