Jennie DeLuca, 96, of Milford
1930 - 2026

Jennie DeLuca, 96, passed away on July 23rd at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the eldest of four children born to the late Leonardo and Lena (Cardone) DeLuca.

A 1947 graduate of Milford High School, Jennie went on to work in a variety of administrative positions in both Florida and Massachusetts. She later retired from Dennison Manufacturing Company, where she met and married the love of her life, the late Robert Hawkins. She also maintained a close and lasting relationship with her stepdaughter, Marsha Hawkins of Millis.

Jennie embraced life with resilience, determination, and a spirited personality. A gifted artist, she filled her home and the homes of family and friends with her paintings. Throughout the years, she also enjoyed dancing, participating in Qigong and Tai Chi classes, reading, and watching her favorite programs on the Hallmark Channel and Food Network. Her creativity, warmth, and feisty spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her siblings, Leonard DeLuca and Marie Dicampo of Milford, and Barbara Plante of Hopkinton; her sons, Harry Guilmain and his wife, Marti, of Mashpee, and Dennis Guilmain and his wife, Susan, of Milford; and her daughter and devoted caregiver, Michelle Chilson of Milford. She also leaves her beloved aunt and lifelong companion, Toni Erol of Stuart, Florida, along with her grandchildren, Kelly Tucker, Jeffrey Chilson, and Carla Racine; her great-grandchildren, Abbie, Ava, and Logan Tucker, Griffin and Henry Racine, and Aiden Chilson; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.

Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hawkins, and her grandson, Matthew Guilmain.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, located at 46 Water Street in Milford.

Visiting hours will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, where Jennie will be laid to rest alongside her parents.
