Nancy's life was defined by her love for her family. She never missed an opportunity to tell others how proud she was of her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world and her greatest source of joy. Her Christian faith sustained her throughout her life and provided her with comfort and peace as she looked forward to being reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert "Mac" McCarthy, whom she was married to for 17 years until his passing in 2010. She was also predeceased by her parents, William and Mildred LeBlanc.
Throughout her life, Nancy embraced many roles, working as a cake decorator, cook, corrections officer, owner of the Angel Hut gift shop, and kitchen manager at the Medway Senior Center. It was there that she also became a beloved art instructor, sharing her remarkable creativity and passion with members of the community. An exceptionally talented artist, Nancy created hundreds of paintings, decorated countless beautiful cakes, and inspired many family members who inherited her artistic gifts.
Christmas was Nancy's favorite season, and she delighted in decorating, gathering with family, and creating lasting traditions. Whether celebrating holidays or enjoying everyday conversations, she had a remarkable ability to make every moment feel special. Her children treasured the daily phone calls, encouragement, laughter, and unconditional support that became a constant source of comfort throughout their lives.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Melissa Davis and her husband, Derek, and their children, Tyler and Amber; her son, Craig Will and his longtime partner, Jill Reslock, and their children, Hannah, Justin, Ayden, and Jake; and her daughter, Jessica Carberry and her husband, Rich, and their sons, Mason and Leo. She also leaves behind her sister, Darlene Lamont and her husband, Dick, as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Her family finds comfort knowing Nancy is reunited with her beloved Mac and surrounded by loved ones, where they imagine she is proudly sharing stories about her children and grandchildren while enjoying one of her favorite treats—ice cream.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Valley Chapel (14 Hunter Road in Uxbridge).
A graveside burial of her ashes will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 3:00 PM at the Franklin Elks Lodge, located at 1077 Pond Street in Franklin. Guests are encouraged to bring a piece of artwork Nancy created for them to be displayed in tribute to her extraordinary artistic legacy.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to support the Jimmy Fund Walk for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through her daughter Jessie's fundraising page.
