MEDWAY — Runners, walkers, and families are invited to lace up for an evening of fitness and fun as the Medway Police Association hosts its annual Police Chase 5K and Kids Fun Run Obstacle Course on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Medway Parks & Recreation Facility, located at 123 Holliston St.
The community event will feature a timed 5K run and walk along with a Kids Fun Run Obstacle Course, giving participants of all ages an opportunity to take part while supporting local organizations and programs. The event has become one of the Medway Police Association’s signature fundraisers, bringing together residents, first responders, and local businesses for an evening of community spirit.
The Kids Fun Run Obstacle Course is designed for children ages 3 to 12 and features inflatable obstacles and a glow-themed course, while the 5K welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities. The race will once again be professionally chip timed, with awards presented to top finishers across multiple age divisions.
Proceeds from the event will benefit a variety of local organizations and youth programs supported by the Medway Police Association. In past years, funds raised have helped organizations including Medway Youth Baseball, Medway High School athletic programs, the Medway Amateur Basketball Association, the Medway Lions Club, local scouting organizations, and other community initiatives.
Organizers encourage participants to register early and invite families to make an evening of the event, which combines friendly competition with entertainment and activities for children.
Whether chasing a personal best in the 5K or cheering on young runners as they tackle the obstacle course, the annual Police Chase promises another night of community fun while supporting the organizations that make Medway a stronger place to live.
